Cloverdale Optometric is excited to be one of the first optometry practices in the Inland Empire to have a leading edge non-mydriatic (no dilation of the eyes necessary) retinal camera. This new telemedicine system is pictured on the left.
This new computer driven technology enables the eye doctor to take a deep inside look at the health of a patient's eyes during annual examinations, as well as keep a historical snapshot year over year of a patient's eye health. Retinal images are invaluable in early diagnosis, tracking, & treatment of many diseases including diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, high blood pressure, etc. Below is a sample retinal picture taken of the inside of a patient's eye:
